Dry Brushing

Dry brushing is exactly what it sounds like…You brush your skin! Creating smoother and increased circulation in the skin.

Brushing your skin upwards with a dry brush, usually before showering. Brush your skin toward the heart, starting at the feet and hands and brushing toward the chest. Brush in a circular motion on your tummy and under arms. Section of each part of your skin, not forgetting any part. I would recommend brushing each part a handful of times to insure you don’t miss any dry/dead skin.

Don’t brush your skin too hard. Be easy on your skin and build a tolerance to the brush strokes.  Wash the brush every few days to removing any remaining skin cells.

Benefits of Dry Brushing and why we should build it into our morning routine:

Lymphatic Support- The Lymphatic system is a major part of the body’s immune system which is made up lymph nodes and organs, vessels and ducts that transport lymph throughout the body. Many of these vessels runs below your skin and by dry brushing your skin on regular it will stimulate the normal lymph flow within the body and help the body detox itself naturally.

Energy Booster- Dry brushing increase the circulation in the body it also increases energy. So doing it as part of your morning routine will set you up for the day.
